An "Unreasonable Person Award" - brilliant. There are many things that create an environment supportive to innovation but this article and request for nominations as part of the Real Innovation Awards certainly captures some of the inherent uncertainty in charting new territory.
It also provides an insight into the cultural elements or change that leads to new ideas; the drivers to deliver on those ideas and create value; and the messy uncertainty of the whole process.
So if you know any unreasonable people who have demonstrated that special skill in getting innovative results in the face of all obstacles, be sure to nominate them. Great to see these qualities being recognised.
innovators work faster and are less tidy than their biological evolutionary counterparts, because they do not have to wait while the advantaged mutants outbreed their rivals.
